About My Clients
I specialize in working with adult individuals who are struggling with their sense of self, low self-esteem, identity confusion, or childhood trauma. I specialize in working with couples/intimate relationships to build more effective communication and emotional safety. I work with clients who are motivated and dedicated to exploring themselves, their relationships, and other surrounding factors in their lives to help them come to a place where they feel more secure with themselves and others.
My Background and Approach
In my work with clients, I aim to be mindful of all factors that are impacting the person you are today and your emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. These factors may include your childhood upbringing, societal pressures, your experience with your gender/sexuality/age/religion/race, your relationships with others, and so much more. My goal is to provide an inclusive, respectful, and accepting place for my clients to share and explore the not so comfortable parts of life. During the therapy process, I will use various interventions and skills from narrative, CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, socio-culturally attuned, and trauma-informed therapy to ensure I am providing you with the best care I can. I will work with you to create goals that feel aligned with the core of who you are, and will always take the stance that you are the expert on your own life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that all lives and identities are valuable. I stand for equity and justice for each individual person on this earth, and believe it is my responsibility to be educated and aware of the factors that contribute to us all having different experiences in life. My goal is to be conscious of these factors and bring attention to them to disrupt the prejudiced stance that causes hardships and pain in several lives. My ultimate goal as a therapist is to help empower you to value and care for yourself and others in ways that allows for all lives to be honored, because that is what you deserve to experience. You deserve to be valued and loved.
