About My Clients
My clients--like everyone-- struggle in some of their relationships. Some examples of relationships my clients struggle in include: romantic, friends, family, and their relationships to their self. Would you like someone to help ground you and establish lasting changes that serve you and those around you? I'm here for that. My practice centers on helping people who feel stuck, whether they have been in therapy before, or are seeking it for the first time.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in neurobiology, and understand that change is always possible. I focus on working with adults across the lifespan, specializing in the LGBTQIA+ community and non-monogamous folks. I offer a trauma-informed space where my clients are free to both unwind and reflect on their lives. Empowering the self and fostering self-advocacy are important for creating the change you seek in your life. I will gently challenge long-held ideas that we recognize no longer serve you. Together, we will cultivate a narrative based around your strengths.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an eclectic practitioner, I gravitate towards approaches that suit the unique needs and processing styles of my clients. I use a feminist and anti-racist mind-frame that values person-centered and strengths-based ways to uplift my clients. Together, we will build an achievable treatment plan catered to how you want to implement change in your life. As a queer person myself I am, by nature, steeped in an LGBTQ existence. Therefore I can offer support to those who are struggling with those aspects of their identity. Also, with my lived experience in alternative relationship styles, I relatedly hold specific knowledge around interpersonal dynamics. Finally, I have experience treating those with complex trauma using Narrative Exposure Therapy.
