About My Clients
I'm Caitlyn Skolnick, LCSW, PMH-C — a perinatal mental health–certified therapist, founder of Nurture Her Therapy + Co., and mom of three in New Jersey. I help moms through infertility and IVF, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, postpartum anxiety and depression, and the identity shifts of modern motherhood. My approach blends CBT, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy with warmth, honesty, and a little humor because you were never meant to carry it all alone, and happy moms ma
My Background and Approach
I've spent more than a decade supporting women and families — first in schools and community settings, and now in private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I hold the PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification) from Postpartum Support International — specialized training in the mood and anxiety challenges that can come with trying to conceive, pregnancy, loss, and postpartum life. That means you never have to explain why this season is hard before we get to work. I'm also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT. In sessions I blend CBT, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy: practical, evidence-based tools to quiet anxious thoughts, ease overwhelm, and build boundaries that stick with room for grief, honesty, and even humor along the way. Sessions are telehealth across New Jersey, so support fits into nap times and lunch breaks. And yes, you can bring the baby.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe happy moms matter and not as a cute slogan, but as a clinical truth: when a mother is supported, her whole family feels it. I believe you can love your kids fiercely and still grieve the version of yourself that existed before them. I believe infertility and pregnancy loss deserve real space, not silence. As a mom of three, I've built a practice designed around real motherhood — judgment-free, honest, and warm, where "holding it all together" is not a requirement for walking through the door. My work is rooted in destigmatizing maternal mental health, and my favorite sessions usually include at least one good laugh.
