About My Clients
DO YOU FIND YOURSELF THINKING... I wish I hadn't reacted that way. I feel like I am giving too much of myself to others. I feel burnt out. I wish I had a stronger sense of self. I've heard about intergenerational trauma, but I'm not sure what that might look like. If any of those statements sounded familiar, then you're in the right place. I'm here to help you explore those thoughts and behaviors in a trauma-informed, creative, and individualized way. Let's get curious together.
My Background and Approach
Everything that I do is informed by my knowledge of and trust in the body. I believe that the body has wisdom and that it has its own innate capacity for creative expression and communication. Dance and movement therapy is my primary therapeutic modality of choice to help you find your body's own creativity as well as connect with your body's innate wisdom. There can be multiple truths in the body and opportunities to hold the “both/and”, which is why I utilize DBT skills and practices. Congruent with this approach is my person-centered nature. This means that I treat you as the expert on your experiences and will follow your lead as it pertains to your comfort level incorporating the various aspects of these modalities into our work together. I also work with a bioecological attachment-based focus, which means that I am evaluating your internal state against that of the relationships you have with the various "layers" of people and relationships in your life.
