About My Clients
You want to "move on" from the past but you don't know how. You struggle to trust others and find yourself constantly looking over your should or "waiting for the other shoe to drop." You may even be so anxious waiting for it that you throw the other shoe. You have the sense that you crave chaos. You're in the right place, I specialize in working with adult survivors of childhood dysfunction and complex trauma. I use evidence based techniques to get you results that traditional therapy cannot.
My Background and Approach
My background is in crisis intervention and for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. There I developed a love for helping people reclaim their lives after experiencing complex trauma. I believe that early life experiences color the way we see the world and can result in the continuation of these patterns in adulthood. I utilize EMDR therapy, ego strengths interventions and my training as a trauma-informed yoga teacher to help you reprocess painful memories while giving you concrete skills to regulate your nervous system.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have the inherent ability to heal ourselves the same way our body heals a wound. As we grow and experience life we bury that ability under conditioning, expectations and conditions however it is always there. We develop coping skills to get through life like people-pleasing, addictions, and eating disorders. I see my role as helping to walk you back home to who you truly are underneath all the conditioning and programming. In this process you can rediscover your power and rechart your life.
