About My Clients
You do not exist in a vacuum. Your past and current experiences affect your life in impactful ways and influence the relationship you have with yourself and those around you. Part of the therapeutic process will be about connecting the dots and painting a picture in attempt to make sense of your journey-- holding those experiences as pieces of your dynamic self.
My Background and Approach
I work with individuals, couples and families. I lean toward a person-centered approach, which means that I will meet you where you are and work with you to identify goals you wish to reach. This also means that I value and believe that the therapeutic relationship we build together is one of, if not the most important aspect of therapy. While my framework is primarily person-centered, I will check in with you around your experience within sessions and also utilize techniques from other approaches to meet your needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I view the therapeutic relationship as a significant element of change and will collaborate with you in a respectful, open, empathetic, and supportive manner. My approach to therapy is about seeing you as a complex, whole, unique individual who is much more than a list of symptoms. During our work together, you can expect to be encouraged to unpack your story and challenged to lean into your emotions to grow into your authentic self. In therapy, my goal is to create a space where you are able to feel seen, heard, and empowered to make changes toward your goals. We will spend time exploring and building upon your inherent strengths and resilience to develop a more confident, vivid individual. I am here to help you find your place, feel connected, and reclaim control of your mind and body.
