About My Clients

I specialize in providing therapeutic support to adults with (diagnosed or suspected) ADHD and autism, with a unique emphasis on nervous system safety and regulation. My ideal client is someone who recognizes the significance of embracing neurodiversity and values a holistic approach to mental wellness. Whether you are exploring strategies to enhance daily functioning, or seeking a deeper understanding of your neurotype, I am dedicated to fostering a safe and affirming space for your journey.

My Background and Approach

I orient towards an integrated, neurodiversity-affirming*, humanistic, client-centered, and psychoeducational approach rooted in Polyvagal Theory that builds off both my education and training as well as my personal experience as a later-diagnosed neurodivergent human. Polyvagal Theory is a framework that recognizes the intricate interplay between our nervous system, emotions, and social connections. By integrating this theory into the practice, I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and navigate their personal journeys towards healing and growth. *To be neurodiversity-affirming means challenging standard approaches to mental health care through a paradigm shift of how we understand, honor, accommodate, and validate individual experiences.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

The historical omission of women and girls (assigned female at birth) in studies of ADHD and Autism, alongside a higher incidence of masking behaviors, has resulted in a growing population of adults who, much like myself, are discovering later in life how their brains function. Moreover, beyond gender, marginalized identities such as BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals often face hurdles in receiving accurate diagnoses. Late diagnosis often follows a lifetime of intuitively feeling out of place, navigating a world that doesn't account for their unique experiences. The accompanying mental health challenges can be profound.
