About My Clients

Have you been burned by the church or another high-control environment? I totally understand how the environments we were raised in can create high standards within us that feel impossible to let go of. This is why I work to provide therapy that helps you to feel seen and celebrated. Let's work together!
My Background and Approach
My approach is relational therapy based and very affirming and encouraging. I like this method because I believe in ripple effects. When you work with me, we are co-creating a space where you can practice building trust, safety, and exercising vulnerability in a relationship. I will give you feedback on how it feels to meet with you, so that you can use that information to build more effective relationships in your life. We will also laugh and practice what it is like to experience joy together. Healing from trauma can make it hard to experience joy and pleasure. I use person-centered, attachment based, and trauma-informed methods to help you live authentically.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are inherently good. I believe that the oppressive systems that we live in have caused you to feel anxious, depressed, and lonely. I believe that community and relationships are our only way to survive. I believe that your body is wonderful and deserves rest and pleasure. As someone who has left the rigid institutions of religion, I believe that it is important to embrace the gray and let go of restrictive binaries. Queerness is liberation and being able to experience your whole self authentically is the greatest gift you can give yourself and others.
