About My Clients
Is anxiety keeping you from enjoying the present moment? Do you feel like you're always bracing yourself for the next thing, unsure of what or when it will be? I help folks like you every day. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and grief and loss. I have a special interest working with those affected by chronic illness (patients or caregivers) and with healthcare professionals experiening burnout.
My Background and Approach
As a licensed clinical social worker, I personalize my approach to each client based on their unique personalities, goals, and needs. I primarily come from a psychodynamic background, which means I want to work with you in exploring and processing events from your past and present to create the life you want now. My goal is help you explore what a meaningful and satisfying life looks like for you, and work with you to build skills and strategies to address current challenges keeping you from that life. In addition to the psychodynamic approach, I also frequently utilize CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing in my work, depending on what my client's goals are. In addition to my private practice, I worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for 10 years, which has led to a special interest working with individuals affected by chronic illness and with individuals who are healthcare professionals experiencing burnout.
