About My Clients
If you’ve ever felt like you had to hide parts of yourself just to get through the day, therapy can be a place where you don’t have to face that alone. I especially enjoy working with young adults who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure where they fit in. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, past trauma, identity questions, or the pressure to meet others’ expectations. Together, we can create a space where you can speak openly without judgment.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, acceptance and commitment based, trauma-informed, and grounded in unconditional positive regard. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, respected, and emotionally safe. Because of this, I try to create a space where clients do not have to perform, defend themselves, or fear judgment. I value warmth, empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, and I see the therapeutic relationship as one of the most important parts of counseling. At the core of my approach is the belief that clients are the experts on their own lives. Rather than positioning myself as someone who has all the answers, I want to help clients better understand their experiences, values, emotions, and patterns. I use active listening, reflection, validation, and silence to give clients room to explore what is happening internally. I try to meet clients where they are, especially when they feel overwhelmed, ashamed, confused, or disconnected from themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My beliefs are rooted in empathy, compassion, equality, and justice. I believe people who are struggling deserve to be met with care rather than judgment, and that healing begins when someone feels safe, heard, and respected. I believe that every person has the capacity to grow, change, and heal when they have the right support and guidance. As a student counselor, I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and trauma survivors. I strive to create a space where clients can explore their experiences, honor their identities, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, meaningful, and connected to their values.
