About My Clients

I specialize in post-traumatic intimacy (rebuilding relationships after trauma), general relationship issues, and building capacity for authenticity & vulnerability within yourself and with your partner(s). My practice is a safe space to be truly you: inclusive of all cultural backgrounds, gender-affirming, and areligious. My clients include adults of all ages and abilities, individuals, monogamous, non-monogamous, and polyamorous relationships.

My Background and Approach

In what can feel like an increasingly chaotic world, our relationships are what we come home to. To be able to authentically connect to ourselves and with those most important to us increases our sense of safety and underpins our overall wellbeing. Both physical and emotional intimacy are acts of vulnerability, self-expression, and connection. They can also be anxiety-provoking and shame-inducing. Using a trauma-informed, integrative post-modern, systemic approach, it is my hope that I can help you use your authentic voice to ask for what you want, openly speak your mind, honestly connect, fully embrace yourself and your partner(s), overcome your pain and fear, and find peace in your relationships.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a 'what you see is what you get' kind of lady. Who I am in the room with you is who I am everywhere in my life. I really believe that authenticity is the hallmark of relational safety. When we feel safe we become vulnerable and when we become vulnerable we grow. My own experiences with religious/institutional trauma and the social justice foundation of my graduate education help to inform the inclusivity of my practice. Being who you are in the world is not always safe and I want you to know that there is at least one room where you can relax. My office is also a censorship free zone. Express yourself in whatever way works for you and expect that I will do the same. The Authentic Caitlin© comes with free dog hair. I have two rescued border collie mixes named Sadie & Hank and I bring bits of them (however unintentionally) wherever I go. Harry Potter is my go-to fandom. My hair color is not predictable.
