About My Clients
Do you feel frozen in place, with anxieties keeping you from making the steps you need or want to take towards your authentic self? You might identify as a highly sensitive, neurodivergent, or anxious person feeling pressured to have it all together. Therapy is a space where you can show up as you are and together we can start making sense of what you're carrying. I am queer and neurodivergent-affirming.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working with people navigating challenges related to anxiety, depression, OCD, trichotillomania, neurodivergence, and relationship challenges. My approach is collaborative and conversational. We’ll look at what’s working, what’s not, and experiment with small, realistic changes that fit your life. I work from a humanistic framework, drawing on Person-Centered and Existential theories, while integrating evidence based and trauma-informed therapies such as Compassion-Focused Therapy, DBT, CBT, and TF-CBT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we as humans may identify our gender, sexuality, and neurodivergence across a spectrum. I value providing a safe, affirming space to explore and express your true self. I work to provide an affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals working to navigate the challenges, fears, grief, and loss that often accompany the journey to embracing your true self. I believe everyone's process looks different, but all individuals deserves a safe space to process their journey, no matter what stage of the journey you're in. I additionally provide a safe space for processing through religious deconstruction, both related and unrelated to LGBTQ+ concerns. While religious communities offer many strengths and supports, they may also intensify challenges, fears, and anxieties. I believe in providing a space to assist individuals in processing through complexities, such as feeling hurt or rejection from a space, community, or family claiming to be loving, inclusive, and supportive.
