About My Clients
Your pain, fear, loss, and love are welcome here. We can share in what hurts, and together we can find tools that make you feel safe enough to begin breaking patterns. I see you for the whole, complex person you are and want to find adaptable strategies to meet your goals. I am passionate about supporting folx managing trauma, depression, and anxiety, navigating personal identity, and looking to build healthier relationships.
My Background and Approach
Having grown up in the Portland area, I’m happy to be back and working with my home community. My professional experience navigating food, housing, and healthcare on a systems level inspires me to always situate individuals within their environment. Guided by queer and feminist theories, I am passionate about bottom-up therapeutic approaches and seek to center the embodied knowledge of clients in my work. I believe in the interconnectedness of the mind and body, and enjoy modalities that honor this like IFS, narrative therapy, and somatic techniques. My own experiences with trauma, neurodivergence, and my queer identity inform my work, and I’m enthusiastic about leading with lived experience. I believe in how trauma and pain can show up in our minds, our bodies, and our relationships. I look forward to working as a partner to my clients as we explore what this looks like for them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe strongly in leveling the power dynamic in therapy. We all bring an abundance of knowledge, skills, and expertise to the table. Powerful healing can happen in relationship, and that is what therapy is to me. We share, learn, and heal together. I strive to understand you within the context of the identities, relationships, systems, and environmental factors that influence their lives. My anti-oppressive lens influences my work with clients, and I bring my understanding of systems of oppression to our conversations.
