My Background and Approach
Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, trauma, focusing and hyperactive, or self esteem issues. I will walk alongside you and your child to help your child learn skills to decrease anxiety, identify triggers, manage emotions, and challenge negative thoughts. I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from approaches including Cognitive Behavior/Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), psychodynamic, and mindfulness. CBT is most useful in helping to reduce symptoms and finding a new way of thinking about things. Mindfulness helps us to turn toward a problem rather than turn away and can bring us to a more relaxed way of being.
