About My Clients
I have years of experience working with adolescents, individuals, couples and families facing a host of challenges that come across our lives. My areas of expertise are: Trauma and resiliency, survivors of sexual assault, Oppositional Defiance, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Marriage Counseling, and more.
My Background and Approach
I am a Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral approach therapist helping my clients and their families re frame these negative thought patterns and work towards a healthier tomorrow. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Eye Movement Dysventilation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for individuals seeking to heal from their past.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have always been someone who strives to leave people who cross my path in a better place then before they met me. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ population myself and have a strong tie to this community through my training, personal, and peer relationships. Prior to my work with private practice i worked closely with the FL Foster Care system serving youth and their families as well as being a member of the Mobile Response Team. This term served to help individuals experiencing a mental health crisis de stabilize and find access to care if needed. I am also an Animal Assisted Certified therapist who has worked with horses and dogs to strengthen the therapeutic alliance. My own furry friend Kenzo has been by my side in practice through it all.
