About My Clients
I work with adults aged 18 and older, and specialize in older adults aged 65 and older. I provide psychological and neuropsychological assessment services for autism, ADHD, neurodegenerative conditions, TBI, and various dementias.
My Background and Approach
Psychological and neuropsychological assessment is a critical part of maintaining good mental health. This type of evaluation can inform diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, and improvements in functioning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a psychologist, I am committed to social justice and advocating for underserved and marginalized populations. In my work I always strive toward just, equitable, and inclusive mental health services for all patients. We see that LGBTQIA+ patients, BIPOC patients, and patients from other marginalized populations often struggle to access excellent mental health services due to systemic barriers - I aim to increase accessibility, reduce stigma, and support improved outcomes/more sustainable functioning for my patients, particularly those who are facing additional challenges in receiving care. Neuropsychological assessment, though always aiming for objectivity, has inherent biases with regard to race, language, educational attainment, socioeconomic status, and other identity variables - understanding these issues and working to ensure that evaluations are accurate, comprehensive, and person-centered is a critical focus of my work and continuing education.
