About My Clients
My clients are responsible, deep thinkers, and trying their best to make sense of the world and of themselves. This has been seeming to become more difficult over the past couple of years for many of us, and talking about it with a neutral party can often be just the thing to both keep you grounded and help you to move forward in the direction of your choosing. I specialize in women struggling with anxiety and histories that have made the present and thinking about the future more challenging.
My Background and Approach
My work history has been diverse, but now that I'm in private practice I'm focusing on my all time favorite clients - women with anxiety and/or histories that are holding them back from becoming their best selves (trauma, emotionally unavailable parents, etc). I help women connect to their deeper values, to gain the skills and confidence to set healthy boundaries with their loved (or not so loved) ones, and to free themselves from their past so they can have the futures they dream of with the confidence and self esteem it takes to get there. I utilize a combination of approaches that I tailor to each individual client depending on her wants, needs, and personality. I am certified in EMDR and am thrilled that this can be done successfully online! EMDR is historically utilized to treat PTSD, and though I do use it for that purpose I also use it often to help women overcome their anxiety as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My beliefs are many, but one that is most consistently on my mind and in my work is that it is important that we learn to accept ourselves as we are, while also striving to do better each day. This is a tricky concept to wrap your head around at first, but a worthwhile one to work on.
