About My Clients
My clients are often navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, and/or religious harm. Many are LGBTQIA+ and/or neurodiverse and seeking a safe, affirming space to build coping skills, process their experiences, and move toward recovery and authenticity.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW and a Master of Divinity (MDiv), which shapes my understanding of trauma, identity, and religious harm. My background includes trauma-informed research, training, and work with individuals experiencing houselessness, complex mental health needs, and complex trauma. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and trauma-informed. I prioritize safety, stability, and coping skills, while also making space for deeper healing at a pace that feels right for you. I draw from DBT, ACT, IFS, and am CAMS-Certified and an EMDR provider in training. I strive to offer a space that feels grounded, nonjudgmental, and centered on your autonomy and lived experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring both personal and professional values into my work, including a strong commitment to autonomy, non-coercion, and affirming care. I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community and live with invisible disabilities, which informs my understanding of identity, access, and systemic barriers. I am passionate about human-animal connection and hold a certificate in Human-Animal-Environment Interactions (HAEI). I have experience with animal-assisted therapy and hope to integrate this into my practice in the future. I also value ongoing learning, including decolonization and liberation-focused approaches, to better support clients within broader social and cultural contexts.
