About My Clients
You didn't think it was possible to function while this exhausted, but somehow you are. You love the new baby you just delivered, but you aren't sure if you love being a parent just yet. Maybe you thought this whole thing would look different—you knew it would be hard, sure, but this feels harder than what you expected. And you're not always sure you can do it. You are not alone. I help new moms feel heard and seen as they navigate postpartum, and eventually, find themselves and thrive again.
My Background and Approach
I help clients feel immediate relief through my overall approach, which is completely and authentically nonjudgmental (trust me—whatever you're going through, I've probably worked with before many times, or experienced myself!) and supportive. My clients say that they can feel how much I care right from the first session, and often leave sessions feeling connected, safe, and like they have a path forward. I am certified in perinatal mental health, and continue to engage with relevant trainings on a frequent and ongoing basis. My clients' trust is very important to me, and I take your care very seriously. In sessions, we'll explore what is currently going on to bring you to therapy, make a plan to help you feel better as soon as possible, and continually check in on how that plan is working for you or not. Therapy can take time, of course, but I try to help ease the most impactful burdens quickly, so that you can feel relief in and outside of sessions as we work together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work hard to create safe spaces for ALL of my clients; in particular, those who may not have always felt safe in these kinds of spaces. I consider myself an ally for queer, trans, and nonbinary communities, and continue to learn how to provide the best possible care to folks in these communities. I also care deeply about workers' rights, animal rights, human rights in general, environmental activism, and try to stay engaged and active where I can in advocacy efforts to support these causes.
