About My Clients
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of what to do next. Maybe you are struggling with a relationship, family challenges, stress, or a major life transition. I work with adults, couples, teens, and families who want a comfortable place to talk openly, feel heard, and gain a better understanding of what they are facing. Together, we can identify what matters most and find practical ways to move forward.
My Background and Approach
I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2008, working with individuals, couples, teens, and families through anxiety, relationship concerns, family challenges, stress, life transitions, and other difficult seasons. Over the years, I have learned that no two people or situations are exactly alike, so I tailor counseling to each client rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, while keeping sessions practical, conversational, and focused on your goals. As a blind therapist, I also bring a unique perspective to counseling and believe my experience has strengthened my ability to listen closely and focus on what clients are communicating. My goal is for you to leave counseling with greater insight, useful tools, and practical steps you can apply in everyday life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of my professional role, I believe strongly in treating people with dignity, compassion, and respect. Living with blindness has shaped my perspective in many ways and has given me a personal understanding of adapting to unexpected challenges, navigating change, and finding a way forward when life looks different than you anticipated. I value authentic relationships, family, community, and creating a space where people from different backgrounds and experiences feel comfortable being themselves. I believe everyone deserves to be heard without judgment and treated as an individual rather than defined by a diagnosis, circumstance, or difficult season. These values are an important part of both who I am and how I approach my work as a counselor.
