About My Clients

You may sense that something about your self has become harder to inhabit. On the outside, you keep functioning, keep showing up. Inside, anxiety, fear, self-doubt, grief, stuck thoughts on trauma, or burnout may be narrowing your sense of possibility. Not just skeptical but JADED. Therapy can help. It helps us slow automatic cycles, listen beneath the usual explanations, and begin moving toward clarity, freedom, and a more authentic life.

My Background and Approach

The offerings in our work together are twofold: often practical, often in service of what feels like it might continually slip outside the realm of words, feelings and insights. Being able to work somatically with the nervous system, as well as with interventions based on psychodynamic theory, assures that we can meet whatever comes our way, make sense of it if we need to, and find new ways of being, if we need to. Because the inner landscape often works by principles much different than linear problem solving, though we can offer tools as needed at times, often our ability to enlarge capacity to be with the range of patterns that show up leads to the most empowerment, agency and direction--while we also address how the nervous system has been patterned to respond to stressors according to its rules and needs. Lastly, nonjudgmental listening also has a serious power, and that is the foundation of everything we build off of.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Most people that meet with me describe therapy being a little different than other experiences they've had. It might be because I tend to work from an uncommon angle: the mind-world connection I start from draws from traditions that have studied the power and primacy of the mind, and subvert materialistic. Unearthing our assumptions is a powerful practice because we can see how one little assumptions has bug impacts down the line in how we show up in life and even feel about ourselves.
