About My Clients

I work with adults and couples facing relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, attachment wounds, and the effects of difficult life experiences. Some clients feel overwhelmed by conflict or emotional reactivity, while others feel disconnected from themselves or the people they love. Whether you’re struggling in a relationship or simply feeling stuck, therapy can help you understand long-standing patterns and move toward a more fulfilling life.

My Background and Approach

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in attachment science. I believe that the ways we learned to relate to others early in life continue to shape our emotions, relationships, and sense of self. Together we’ll explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, helping you better understand why you react the way you do and how lasting change becomes possible. I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), psychodynamic therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), tailoring treatment to your unique needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Some sessions focus on practical strategies for navigating current challenges, while others explore deeper emotional experiences and long-standing patterns. My goal is to help you develop greater emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection with yourself.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people make sense in the context of their life experiences. Behaviors that create pain today often began as creative ways of coping with difficult situations. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” I find it more helpful to ask, “What happened, and what has helped you survive?” Therapy is not about fixing you but about creating a safe, supportive relationship where you can better understand yourself and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges. Change happens through insight, emotional experience, and practicing new patterns, not through criticism or shame. I also believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important ingredients in successful therapy. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to work alongside you with honesty, warmth, and respect as you move toward the life and relationships you want.
