About My Clients
I treat people suffering from poor sleep and those who want to reduce or eliminate dependence on sleep medications
My Background and Approach
I have been practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for over four decades. I also received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) at the University of Pennsylvania and sleep medicine through the World Sleep Academy. I have authored/co-authored over 50 scientific and professional papers and nine books.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice evidence-based approaches to helping people. As someone with a strong association with my faith tradition and mystical Judaism, I also integrate spirituality into my work especially since we know from the research that religiosity and spirituality are positively associated with better health and better health outcomes.
