About My Clients

Many of my clients have spent months or years feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or stuck. They may struggle with chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, or social anxiety and wonder if things can really improve. I work with adults who are ready to better understand what's keeping them stuck, learn practical skills, and make meaningful changes. Whether your symptoms are recent or longstanding, therapy can help you regain confidence and move forward.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in helping adults experiencing chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, and social anxiety using evidence-based approaches tailored to each person's needs. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and other evidence-based interventions. As I complete EMDR training, I also incorporate trauma-informed stabilization and preparation techniques when appropriate. My own experience undergoing multiple scoliosis surgeries since 2009 has given me personal insight into how chronic pain can affect emotional well-being, relationships, identity, and daily life. While every person's experience is unique, I understand many of the challenges that often accompany persistent pain. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented. Together we'll build skills, address underlying patterns, and work toward lasting change at a pace that feels manageable.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and never judged. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide guidance, evidence-based tools, and a supportive space where meaningful change can happen. I don't believe people are defined by a diagnosis or by the hardest experiences they've lived through. Healing isn't about becoming someone different—it's about removing the barriers that keep you from living the life you want. I value honesty, collaboration, and practical progress. While therapy can involve difficult conversations, I also believe it should leave you with greater understanding, hope, and skills you can use outside the therapy room. My goal is to help clients build lasting resilience rather than dependence on therapy.
