About My Clients

I work with individual adults and teens healing from traumatic experiences and toxic family dynamics, navigating abrupt life changes such as a death, a divorce, a job loss, a move, or a new school, or looking to build a better relationship with themselves. My clients tend to be people who are ready to "go there," to move through emotionally difficult terrain in order to heal old wounds and make lasting change.

My Background and Approach

I'm from Los Angeles, where I still live, and I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. Over the past five years I've worked in a range of settings, including private practice and community mental health, where I developed a love for trauma work with teens and adults. My approach is holistic, with special attention to the mind, body, and spirit. I see this work as deeply collaborative, and I believe everyone is capable of healing when they're connected with the support best suited to them. Naturally, talking to a stranger about yourself can feel unusual or daunting at first. I get it. I've been there myself. I aim to meet you where you are and build a warm, compassionate relationship you can trust enough to lean on during the heavier days. I'm trained in several modalities, including EMDR, parts work, Gestalt, CRM, and TRM. Rather than bore you with more acronyms, I'd be glad to chat and answer any questions you have.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

While I love to nerd out about psychology, I believe you are the expert on your own life, and that therapy should honor the particulars of your story. Healing isn't one-size-fits-all, your path is yours to create. Not every session has to be heavy. Sometimes the most profound shifts come from laughter, from joy, or from simply having space to let every part of you be as it is. Getting more comfortable with joy again, or for the first time can be part of the work too. Not every session has to look like traditional talk therapy, either. If you've built real insight in talk therapy and feel ready to go deeper into the body and nervous system, EMDR may be a good next step. Open-mindedness, inclusivity, equity, and mutual respect are the foundations of my practice. If this resonates with you, we might be a good fit.
