About My Clients
I work with young adults and women who feel things deeply- whether you're navigating anxiety, past trauma, tough family dynamics, a difficult relationship, or just trying to make sense of it all.
My Background and Approach
I help people bridge the gap between what they know and what they can actually feel. Together, we’ll use approaches like psychodynamic therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to begin healing old emotional wounds. My goal is to help you move from simply saying “I’m good enough” or “I’m safe” to truly believing and feeling it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Compassion and authenticity are at the core of my work with my clients. I want you to feel fully accepted and encouraged to be your authentic self. I believe that true change comes from self-compassion, rather than self-criticism. We can learn to use tender compassion to regard our experiences with kindness and understanding. However, self-compassion doesn’t stop there. We can also harness fierce self-compassion to advocate for our needs, call out injustice, and promote positive change in ourselves and the world around us. I apply these principles in counseling with my clients daily. We focus on meeting our thoughts and emotions with kindness and understanding, recognizing we are not alone or crazy in our suffering. We then seek ways to work towards change, both personally and socially, through that same care and kindness towards ourselves and others.
