There is room for growth in every person! There is always a new goal you want to accomplish or something you want overcome. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy makes it possible to reduce stress, anxiety and depression tremendously in your life. I hope to be your support and your guide in reaching any goals you set for yourself. Counseling is meant to be a freeing and safe space, I hope to be the person to create that for you.
My Background and Approach
Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. I have had a 12 year colorful and exciting career of working with adults in a multitude of different life circumstances and diagnosis' from substance abuse, family dynamics, depression, anxiety and many more. If I where to have a personal slogan it would be "treating the person not the diagnosis." Each individual has their own story, their own path and their own goals and my quest is to create the most comfortable and safe environment where you are able to achieve any goals you set for yourself. My purpose is to be a tool and a guide for your growth and development through the utilization of techniques we create together to best serve you, your family and your life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is able to help us create new ways of thinking which can subdue symptoms of stress, depression and anxiety. You will gain resilience and knowledge so you can live the life you want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do not believe that there is any limit to what human begins are capable of achieving. I believe that there is always room for change and growth at any time in our lives. I think the main reason we develop mental health problems is due to the unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way in an effort to resolve our problems. Replacing the unhealthy behaviors with healthy ones is something I think everyone can achieve. In order to do this, you need a safe, judgment free space which I know I can provide for you. I believe that laughter and positivity are two things that can change the atmosphere of counseling and make it something to look forward to.
