About My Clients
My clients are high-achieving moms and moms-to-be who are running on empty. They're navigating postpartum anxiety, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, infertility, and IVF — or they're just deep in the exhausting trenches of toddlerhood and motherhood and wondering if this is just how it is now. They're competent, capable women whose nervous systems are completely overwhelmed. They're done white-knuckling it alone and ready to actually feel better — not just cope.
My Background and Approach
I've been working in mental health for 9 years, with specialized training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International and advanced EMDR training. I'm licensed in both Wisconsin and Minnesota, working exclusively with women navigating the emotional weight of motherhood — from fertility and pregnancy through the relentless years of raising small humans. My approach uses EMDR and somatic tools to help your nervous system actually process what it's been holding — not just understand it, but move through it. For many clients this is what finally works after years of trying everything. I bring honesty, warmth, and a no-BS approach. I'm going to sit with you, figure out what's actually going on, and help you get somewhere better.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mothers are chronically under-supported and over-expected. I'm here to push back on that quietly, one client at a time. I'm a mom myself, so I show up to this work with personal understanding as well as advanced clinical training. I know what it is to love your kids fiercely and also need everyone to stop touching you for five minutes. I believe strongly in the connection between physical and psychological wellbeing. Sleep, movement, nourishment, and nervous system regulation are all central to our mental health. My practice in therapy starts there - looking at what isn't working and helping to fill those gaps. I care deeply about reducing the stigma around maternal mental health. Asking for help in this season of life isn't weakness — it's one of the harder and braver things you can do.
