About My Clients
Many of my clients are thoughtful, compassionate people who have spent years putting others first. They’re often the helper or peacekeeper in their relationships. Over time, people-pleasing can lead to anxiety, burnout, or feeling disconnected from your voice. I also work with couples and families who want to improve communication, rebuild closeness, and feel more understood. Clients often feel more confident, connected, and able to express their needs.
My Background and Approach
I've been practicing since shortly after I graduated from Friends University with my Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2023. I'm trained in EMDR and utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS), Bowen Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy as my primary modalities. My approach is grounded in the belief that you already have what you need to heal. Many clients come in feeling stuck in people-pleasing or disconnection from their own voice. Together, we uncover your strengths and patterns and build toward greater self-trust, boundaries, and authenticity. If you’re feeling ready for change, I’d be honored to support you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and respected exactly as they are. I’m committed to creating an inclusive and affirming space for clients of all identities and backgrounds. I’m an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and approach my work through a systemic lens, recognizing how culture, family systems, and societal structures shape our experiences and well-being. Outside of my practice, I enjoy supporting my local community. I volunteer as a group facilitator with the Whole Parent Foundation here in Kansas City, where I help lead groups that support parents in building connection, resilience, and emotional well-being. At the heart of my work is a deep belief that everyone deserves compassion, dignity, and the opportunity to heal and grow.
