About My Clients
I work with a wide range of clients — from young adults navigating grief, depression, anxiety, or LGBTQ+-related concerns, to adults 60+ working through grief, life transitions, and anxiety or depression. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, and I have a particular appreciation for the unique challenges of being young in today's world, as well as the distinct challenges that come with growing older in it.
My Background and Approach
Across my 10 years of experience, I've learned and implemented a wide variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies for a range of presenting concerns. I like to begin our first couple of sessions getting a clear view of what brought you in, along with your broader beliefs and background, so I can tailor our work together. If you're looking for a therapist who is gentle, kind, and comforting in her approach, that's me. I do challenge negative thought patterns and miscommunication when it's helpful, though I also find that clients often benefit from arriving at those insights on their own.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal values of equality and equal opportunity for all people shape how I show up in the room. I strive to create a space that's genuinely welcoming across faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and ability level. As someone who identifies as queer, I bring both professional training and personal understanding to working with LGBTQ+ clients. I also know firsthand what it's like to live with anxiety and depression, and that understanding informs the compassion and practical support I bring to this work.
