About My Clients
Those who benefit most from working with me are interested in understanding their family dynamics and seek to explore their identity, values, and purpose. I work with survivors of narcissistic abuse, adult children of addicts, and those navigating self-harm, as well as more general topics such as stress, anxiety, self-esteem, and life transitions/adjustments. Many of my clients are also focused on women's health and wellness.
My Background and Approach
I can provide guidance, exploration, mind/body techniques, and coping skills to help get you to where you need to go, and we will work together as a team to achieve your therapeutic goals. I provide an integrative approach that often utilizes mindfulness, somatic therapy, ACT (values-driven therapy), and family systems work. I avoid giving advice and will instead draw from your inner wisdom to help you identify choices aligned with your values. Specializing in family systems and mind/body awareness, I have focused my career helping individuals understand their unconscious beliefs and thoughts inherited from caregivers in childhood, uncovering generational patterns, changing their role in the family system, and bringing themselves out of constant fight-or-flight activation through nervous system regulation and mindfulness exercises. With a soft and compassionate attitude, my goal is to help you materialize real, long-lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I began my career in dance and education. Long before my days of clinical psychology, movement and teaching laid the foundation for an intentional life. It was through dance that I truly explored self-expression, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. As my career has evolved, I must say that it's pretty incredible to work in the field of mental health and be able to make a real difference in the lives of my clients. I love to help people, but I am not a people-person! I am fascinated with human behavior and psychology and I am dedicated to easing the suffering of my fellow humans. But when it comes to my free time, I’ll choose a book and my dogs over a party any day! My Therapy Motto: I truly believe that anyone can be helped if they are willing to put in the work to change. I cannot change you, and I cannot make life-changing promises. Rather, I can be the guide and provide the tools to facilitate the process of change.
