About My Clients
Are you navigating big feelings, behaviors, life changes, trauma, or unique ways of experiencing the world? I am committed to supporting infants, children, teens, and their families in addressing challenges related to anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, loss of a loved one, trauma, foster care, adoption, divorce, school changes, and other life transitions. I also love helping parents who want to understand their children better, improve their parenting skills, or process their own histories.
My Background and Approach
I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT™) with a graduate certification in Infant Mental Health (IMH). Play is how children communicate, learn, process, heal, and understand their experiences of the world around them. I am trained in EMDR™, which helps clients process trauma and overwhelming experiences safely. As a certified AutPlay® provider, I help children and families with strategies that highlight strengths and foster connection. As a certified Theraplay® practitioner, I use playful, attachment-based activities to strengthen parent-child bonds and promote co-regulation. I also use sandtray therapy to provide children, teens, and adults with a creative, nonverbal manner to express and process feelings and experiences. I offer individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and support groups. Every individual, family, and relationship is unique. Treatment should be too.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am neurodivergent and a LGBTQ+ ally. I am raising a neurodivergent child and have a neurodivergent spouse. I have experienced and understand the impact of trauma and adverse experiences. In my free time, I enjoy cuddling with my Maine Coon, Niklaus, and Pekingese, Elijah. I love painting, reading, completing puzzles, hiking, and fishing with my friends and family. It is not uncommon for me to encourage clients to spend time in nature. Time in nature gives children and families a chance to slow down, breathe, and reconnect. Spending time in nature can be deeply grounding, helping clients reduce stress, regulate emotions, and reconnect with themselves. Nature offers a calming space that supports healing and growth in ways that complement therapy. I genuinely believe that you are resilient. Your child is resilient. My goal is to create a space that honors your needs and preferences, supporting healing, understanding, and lasting change.
