About My Clients
It's important for you to receive treatment that is tailored to your needs. Are you struggling with negative self talk? Do you suffer with anxiety and need help finding coping skills? I have a passion for helping adults who are hurting or struggling to find relief from their pain. Whether you are going through a life transition, trying to find out who you are as a person, or struggling to push through the day, I would love the opportunity to help guide you through to a place of peace.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St Thomas-Houston and have been seeing clients under supervision going on 2 years now. I often use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Self compassion, and Mindfulness methods to enable you to identify, challenge, and revise unhelpful thoughts, use your strengths to overcome barriers, and make more mindful choices. You are the expert of your own story and together in therapy we can find effective ways to help you cope and silence the inner critic.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has the tools within themselves to better themselves. No matter what age you are, the beauty of life is that there is always something left to learn. The journey is never easy, but together we can make sure you get to just the right destination. I will always be there to offer you a safe space to speak about anything and everything that might be going on in your mind. I have been a client before and know that therapy isn't always easy or fun, so I applaud those who make the courageous step to see a therapist. I do not discriminate against anyone, no matter what age, shape, or color they are. I truly enjoy listening and offering insight to those who come see me.
