About My Clients
I have a passion for communities and the family system. I love to work with intergenerational issues; ranging from postpartum concerns, attachment ruptures, and advocacy needs for parents with mental illness. I also seek to engage in communal and community trauma for marginalized people groups; holding space for those who may not have access to any other arenas to feel heard and understood.
My Background and Approach
In the nearly 12 year span of my career, I've been able to work in multiple treatment environments -- using a variety of traditional and nontraditional modalities. From Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Trauma-Sensitive mindfulness practices, to the creative arts, and attachment-based systems work, I love to make my methods as individualized/special as those who seek my services. When not at work, I volunteer for a local mental health nonprofit that is impassioned with sustaining programming for maternal mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Christian; having gone through a reconstructive/decolonized process. I have had the immense pleasure to sit and converse with members of all faith communities & belief structures. I am an active advocate of civil, economical, and educational rights for all people, despite the demographic they belong to. I also desire to assist others in uprooting oppression and trauma from their spiritual practices.
