Together we will be able to work through those moments of feeling stuck and address the root of the problems that hinder you. I specialize in working with couples who have experienced traumatic loss and hurt, and kids with emotional and behavioral struggles.I am aware of the ways that loss can either bring us together, or pull us apart- and in couple therapy with me, you will learn how to work as a team to heal your wounds. I work virtually, but am still able to engage with the kids and families
My Background and Approach
My personal approach to therapy is what allows for others to connect with me- I am laid-back, direct, funny, caring, and most of all, nonjudgemental. I provide that open space of comfort that is needed to be your authentic self. As a child/adolescent, individual, couple, and family therapist, I use a strengths-based and relational approach to identify the emotional and behavioral change that you want to see within your life. Change isn’t immediate, but together we will be able to work through those moments of feeling stuck and address the root of the problems that hinder you. I received my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Family Studies from Southeast Missouri State University. I have received my first master’s degree in Human Services with a focus in Counseling from Argosy University, and my second master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy with a focus in Child & Adolescent Therapy, from Northcentral University.
