About My Clients
Individuals: Are you feeling weighed down by life? Are you struggling to overcome challenges you’ve gone through? I help individuals work through trauma and cope with the stressors of everyday life. Couples: Have you been struggling in your relationship? Do you feel like you've tried everything, but you still can’t communicate with your partner? I help couples improve communication, learn tools to manage conflict, and reignite the passion in their relationship.
My Background and Approach
I became a therapist for two reasons- my interest in psychology and what makes us who we are and my personal experience with therapy. I had a traumatic childhood and going to therapy helped me heal and completely changed my life. I was able to process my trauma through EMDR and learn how to have healthy relationships. Now I help others do the same. I’ve been studying psychology for over 15 years. I have an associate and bachelor’s degree in psychology, as well as a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I’ve studied with Stan Tatkin, learning the PACT (psychobiological approach to couple therapy) method, as well as the Arizona Trauma Institute. I’m pursuing dual licensure as an associate marriage and family therapist and an associate professional clinical counselor. My style of therapy is direct, interactive, and empathetic. I pride myself on making my clients feel comfortable and providing a space to heal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Although I work with people from all walks of life, I especially enjoy creating a safe space for people who otherwise might not feel safe to come to therapy including the LGBTQ+, Sex Worker, and Kink communities. I have a deep passion for the work I do and I look forward to working with you.
