About My Clients
Isolation, trauma, loneliness, shame and anxiety. How much do these words hit home for you? Chronic stress can leave you feeling helpless, frustrated, and so much more. These emotions can seep into all aspects of your life, leaving you questioning your own strength. It doesn’t have to be that way. When you’re supported with empathy and compassion, it’s entirely possible to rediscover the resilience and courage you’ve always had, and overcome what can feel like the hardest part of your life.
My Background and Approach
My passion is working with First Responders and their partners since I am the wife of a firefighter myself. I am also passionate about family conflict, cycle breaking, and infertility. I use different approaches to gently guide the process of therapy, including solution-focused therapy, CBT and trauma-focused therapy. I’ll always approach you and the time we have together with genuineness, authenticity, and meeting you wherever you’re at. I love the outdoors, exercise and spending time with my family. My hope for you is to take the next step in your healing journey and have faith in the process with me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in resiliency and post traumatic growth. I feel that everyone deserves a space to feel validated and seen in a non judgemental manner. I truly believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change if they are given the opportunity and access. Social justice and equity is at the core of my beliefs, my work in community mental health and activism is where I really saw the need for more access to mental health services. As a social worker and community member I carry a strong desire do my work with these belief systems in mind.
