About My Clients
You might be feeling stuck in the same, exhausting cycles in your relationship longing for deeper connection, understanding, playfulness and peace. You might be exhausted from navigating a world designed for neurotypical brains as a neuro-spicy person. You might find yourself wondering if you will ever see yourself in a positive light and give yourself the same grace you give to others. I see you and I want you to know that what you are seeking is possible.
My Background and Approach
I help those in relationships normalize and foster effective dependency and interdependence by implementing effective, loving ways to voice needs, engage in conflict and respond to each other’s emotions and attachment needs. I have advanced training in evidence-based models of couples therapy such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples. In addition to supporting relationships and various mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression and helping people through grief, loss, relationship and life transitions, I also have an affinity for working with ADHD and am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). I am also passionate about supporting individuals, and the collective, in improving their relationships with their bodies through a body liberation and anti-diet informed framework. I incorporate models such as CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness Self-Compassion and operate from a systemic, humanistic, feminist and social justice lens in my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work with relationships because I believe they are a powerful way to interrupt systems of inequity and isolation by cultivating meaningful change in relationships that positively ripples into our children, families and communities. I believe this work holds the power to shift generational patterns and our collective understanding of what it means to be in relationship with others. I believe that therapy *is* political and does not happen in a vacuum. Therapy is informed by the experiences you have outside of session and the systems and identities you live within and beyond. I believe this work is sacred and a privilege. I am committed to continuously reflecting on my own biases and blindspots and the processes of unlearning and learning new truths.
