Pregnancy and postpartum can bring up things nobody warned you about — more anxiety, a low mood, scary thoughts you're afraid to say out loud. You love your baby but miss your old life. You maybe even resent your partner. And if you're a healthcare worker, or also caring for aging parents, the weight of that doesn't just disappear when you clock out. These are real, normal experiences that don't get talked about nearly enough. You don't have to keep carrying this alone.
My Background and Approach
After years as a social worker in labor and delivery, I saw firsthand how little support moms actually received after leaving the hospital. That gap is what brought me to specialize in perinatal mental health — and it's what keeps me passionate about this work. I'm trained in both Brainspotting and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), two body-based approaches that go beyond traditional talk therapy. They're particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, and the kind of stuck feelings that don't budge no matter how much you process them out loud. Most clients see meaningful shifts in as few as 1-5 sessions with ART. My approach is collaborative and conversational — I'm not a blank-slate therapist. I bring warmth, directness, and my own lived experience to the work. I've navigated a difficult pregnancy, miscarriage, and postpartum anxiety myself. So when you're sitting across from me, you're not explaining yourself to someone who only knows this from a textbook. I work virtually with clie
