My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, meaning I prioritize your needs and goals in our sessions. I utilize evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, and strengths-based approaches to help you gain insights, develop coping strategies, and create positive change. I also provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to express yourself freely, explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards healing and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One thing that sets me apart as a therapist is my sense of humor. I believe that laughter can be a powerful tool in therapy, as it can help break down barriers, build rapport, and create a sense of connection. I use humor in a sensitive and appropriate way to help lighten the mood and create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can feel free to express yourself without fear of being judged. In addition to my sense of humor, I also bring creativity into my therapeutic approach. I understand that each person is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I incorporate various therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as art therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a creative and holistic way. This allows for deeper self-exploration, self-expression, and insight, which can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
