About My Clients
I’m not your mother’s therapist, to be frank. I can be if she needs one, but I enjoy living in the corners and at the fringes of what stereotypical therapy might look like. It is important to me that those who are outcasts, quirky, different, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and the marginalized feel heard. When we work together, I want you to feel like you matter (because you do). If you like the utilization of tarot and oracle cards, we can incorporate that.
My Background and Approach
I have a wide range of interests and specializations including, but not limited to, the following: LGBTQ+, faith and questions/doubts/fears around religion/religious trauma/exploration, neurodivergent folks, kink-allied/sex-positive/sexual dysfunction, self-esteem/body positivity, teenagers, crisis/suicidality, college students, young adults, geriatrics, end of life/death/dying, grief, caregivers, adult children of alcoholics, borderline personality disorder (BPD), attachment/boundaries/self-care, chronic pain and illness, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and stress. I work with ages 13-100, and I utilize the following methods: ACT (acceptance commitment therapy), solution-focused, person in environment, eclectic, narrative, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, feminist, somatic, Jungian, and psychodynamic.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community who loves to volunteer with all things queer taking place locally. I enjoy practicing faith as I understand it and helping those find their own, regardless of if it differs from mine. I am open-minded, and I am a part of the kink community. I believe in the right to be yourself unapologetically.
