About My Clients
I want to support you whether you are struggling with parenting, life circumstances outside of your control, hoping to find a new way to connect with your partner, managing a big life change, or simply want life to look different. I work with individuals and families to identify old patterns that are no longer working and finding new ways of being. I believe that my job is to create a safe and non-judgmental space to sift through the experiences, events and beliefs in your life.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about working with individuals, adolescents, and families from a wide variety of backgrounds with concerns around anxiety, depression, parenting, trauma, relationship issues, attachment, disordered eating, body image issues, ADHD, pregnancy, perinatal concerns, infertility, loss and self-worth. I have a special interest in working with individuals and families that have experienced reproductive challenges, loss, pregnancy, birth-trauma, postpartum and maternal mental health. Some of the approaches I draw from are attachment theory, family systems, creative arts, IFS, DBT, and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). I completed my undergraduate degree in Studio Art with Bethel University and my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people hold value and deserve a space to be heard and seen. I am LGBTQ affirming, neuro-diversity affirming, and take a stance of helping clients identify oppressive systems that may contribute to mental health difficulties.
