About My Clients
Many of my clients seek my expertise when struggling with the nuances of life’s transitions, experiencing depression, anxiety, familial discord, and the challenges that education, work, and family bring. I am particularly passionate about working with those who feel they have ‘tried it all’ or those who feel unheard, disparaged, and who continue to struggle with past traumas. I look at cases through a trauma lens.
My Background and Approach
I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern licensed for Florida residents. I have 5 years of experience in independent counseling with 3 of them being in-patient setting. I am trained in CBT, ACT, and DBT approaches, however, I glean from a multifaceted approach. Our situations are not the same and how they need to be approached is with a combination of more than one method. This approach offers a more in depth coverage of the presenting concerns and improves your ability to maintain the techniques and skills for longevity rather than only immediate gratification (which leads to a quick turnaround of the symptoms, thoughts, and feelings, for why you started therapy).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy can be challenging. Feeling judgment and needing to build a relationship. I ensure you feel heard and validated, while also guiding you through your journey in accountability (where deemed fit), challenging you to grow outside your comfort zone, and ultimately helping you evolve into the version you see yourself wanting to be. I am dedicated to providing you not only a safe space to freely discuss topics where others may pass judgment but also to challenge you to effectively learn how to work through the uncomfortable that has been weighing you down and not fall back on toxic unhealthy behaviors in the process.
