About My Clients
Whether you are ready to heal from the past, reconnect with yourself, or strengthen your bond with a loved one, you are in the right place! You may need support as you navigate trauma recovery, identity development, self-esteem, or family/relational dysfunction. My goal is to join in your journey as you learn to show up authentically in all areas of life. Together, we will begin to make sense of your experiences, your internal world, and your relationships.
My Background and Approach
As a marriage and family therapist, I do not just work with couples and families! In fact, most of my work is with individual teens and adults navigating issues within the context of their systems (family, relationships, society, etc). My approach to therapy is rooted in trauma-informed, evidence-based techniques, such as IFS and EFT. However, therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. You can expect collaborative treatment tailored to meet your goals, needs, and personality. I am trained in EMDR and incorporate it into my individual therapy approach based on my clients’ goals. I also integrate somatic work for a holistic experience. I also am certified as a Family Life Educator (CFLE) through the National Council on Family Relations. I am trained to provide education and support in various areas of family life such as boundaries, roles, and parenting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in relationships- the ones we have with others and the lifelong one we hold with ourself. I believe we can find healing by examining our internal and external worlds. My goal is to join in your journey as you learn to show up authentically for yourself and others. Every part of you is welcome. My hope is that my therapy room would be a place of belonging as you move from self-protection to self-empowerment. Your experiences shape how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. Trauma and relational wounds may leave you feeling disconnected, stuck in the past, and overwhelmed by current circumstances. The good news is, you have the capacity to heal. You do not have to hide your true self or carry your burdens alone. "The recognition that you are us, that everyone is us, allows our self-love to humanize others into belonging.” - Gareth Gwyn
