About My Clients
You can’t sleep. You can’t focus. You can’t cope. You want to break the patterns of generational trauma and increase your self-confidence, but as a member of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) community, finding a culturally competent therapist is a challenge in and of itself. You have a unique set of concerns and questions about seeking therapy, facing specific cultural, social, and historical factors that influence your experiences and needs.
My Background and Approach
As a BIPOC clinician, Brittany deeply understands the specific struggles faced by the BIPOC community concerning mental and emotional well-being. With over 5 years of experience in the field of mental health, she has helped clients navigate through difficult life transitions, move through trauma and regulate their sleep patterns. Brittany has specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Focus System for emotional dysregulation and attentional difficulties. Brittany emphasizes treating the “whole person”, equipping her clients with a toolbox of coping skills that they can rely on long after their therapy sessions have ended.
