About My Clients

I work with individuals, couples, families, and other relationship structures who want to better understand themselves and one another. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients, polyamorous and ENM relationships, couples navigating transitions, and people exploring how family-of-origin patterns or past experiences affect their lives today. Whether you're feeling disconnected, stuck in the same conflict, or simply curious about yourself, we'll explore it together.

My Background and Approach

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m interested in more than symptoms alone. I’m curious about the relationships, experiences, family patterns, identities, and larger systems that have helped shape who you are. My training is rooted in systemic, family, and couples therapy, and I primarily draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems. In our work, we may explore the deeper meaning behind emotions and choices, recurring relationship patterns, attachment needs, or stories you’ve learned about yourself along the way. I don’t see my role as telling you how your life or relationships should look. Instead, we’ll work collaboratively to understand what is happening, make space for different perspectives, and develop tools that support healing, emotional safety, connection, and growth.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe there are many ways to create a meaningful life, relationship, and family—and therapy shouldn't require you to fit yourself into someone else's definition of what those things should look like. I strive to create a space where people of different identities, backgrounds, sexualities, genders, and relationship structures feel genuinely welcomed and respected. I value curiosity, authenticity, autonomy, compassion, and social justice. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, kink-friendly, and affirming of polyamory and consensual non-monogamy. I also believe therapy can be meaningful without feeling sterile or overly clinical. There is room in my sessions for humor, personality, difficult conversations, curiosity, and being human. You are the expert on your lived experience; my job is to help you explore it.
