About My Clients
You do not need to fit a particular mold to have a healthy, meaningful relationship or a meaningful life. I work with individuals, couples and relationships who want to better understand themselves and each other. Many of my clients are navigating lives that are misunderstood by traditional expectations such as ADHD, autism, trauma, relationship conflict, identity, and life transitions. I especially welcome LGBTQIA+ clients and those practicing or exploring ethical non-monogamy.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a master's of science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My approach is collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed/educated. I primarily draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Narrative Therapy, while integrating other approaches based on each client's needs. Rather than viewing one person as "the problem," I'm interested in the patterns, experiences, relationships, and larger systems that shape how we understand ourselves and connect with others. I work from an LGBTQIA+/ENM/neurodivergent-affirming perspective and welcome relationships that don't follow traditional scripts. Therapy with me isn't about telling you how you should live or relate. It's about helping you understand what's happening beneath the surface, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and build relationships and a life that feels authentic to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people deserve spaces where they can be fully themselves without having to make themselves smaller, more conventional, or easier for others to understand. I value authenticity, curiosity, autonomy, compassion, and social justice, and these values influence the kind of therapeutic space I strive to create. I'm sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, and supportive of consensual non-monogamy and diverse relationship structures. I don't believe that there is one "right" way to build a relationship, family, or meaningful life. I also believe therapy should leave room for humor, personality, and being human. You won't find a blank-slate therapist sitting across from you. I'll bring curiosity, warmth, honesty, and the occasional laugh while respecting that you are ultimately the expert on your own life.
