About My Clients
I help working professionals navigate a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, ADHD, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan tailored to your goals and find strategies to integrate meaningful change into your life. I believe in a personalized approach to therapy—whether you’re in a creative field or a corporate role or somewhere in between, your path and needs are uniquely yours.
My Background and Approach
People tend to find me warm, thoughtful, and kind. I’m here to help guide and support you in overcoming the negative self-talk, harmful patterns, and anxious or avoidant behaviors that may inhibit you from deeper relationships or a more fulfilling life. I believe that understanding your present self requires looking at how your early experiences—across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood—have shaped the ways you move through the world. We’ll explore and work together to heal past wounds and unlearn the patterns that may still be holding you back. My style is empowering and insight-driven—I balance being a motivating guide with being a gentle, attuned listener. My nature is warmly analytical, grounded in empathy and strong intuition. I believe we all have the capacity to shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, and sometimes it just takes someone alongside us to help us see that possibility.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My own LGBTQ and BIPOC identities, along with my academic training at Duke and Columbia, have shaped the therapist I am today. As an Asian American woman who grew up internationally, worked in media and music, and has personally experienced “otherness”—I understand what it means to navigate complex identities. My multicultural background and experiences have shown me that there are many ways to look at the world and at oneself. My work is rooted in a deep commitment to social justice, and I strive to honor each individual’s unique story with care and respect. I aim to create a space that is both safe and affirming—one where you can speak freely and receive honest, grounded feedback in return. Our relationship will be central to the work: built on trust, compassion, and the balance of support with accountability. Together, we’ll work toward the change you want to see—in your relationships with others, and in your relationship with yourself.
