My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take an integrative approach to therapy, combining aspects of interpersonal and humanistic frameworks. I treat clients with genuine warmth and positive regard, while understanding their current real-life situations, personal strengths and areas for growth. I believe positive change is directly related to the client-therapist relationship and thus take great care in cultivating collaborative and compassionate relationships in therapy. I believe that each individual’s unique sense of self is defined by a multitude of factors, including early experiences, ethnic background, religious beliefs, sexuality, and experience of gender. Therefore, I am passionate about creating a safe, judgement-free environment where people of all backgrounds feel comfortable to explore issues which brought them to therapy.
