About My Clients
My ideal clients are ready to break free from patterns that no longer serve them—whether that's overthinking food and body image, people-pleasing, struggling with addiction or self-harm, or feeling overwhelmed by big emotions. I work especially well with children and young adults navigating eating-related avoidant behaviors, highly sensitive creative souls who are hard on themselves, and recovering perfectionists ready to reconnect with their values and build self-esteem without guilt.
My Background and Approach
As an LPC-Associate, I bring specialized training in eating disorders, trauma, and addiction recovery. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Midwestern State University and hold certifications as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I'm an active member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. My therapeutic approach combines ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions to help you develop emotional flexibility and create lasting change. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or relationship challenges, I provide both compassionate support and gentle accountability. Together, we'll build practical tools that align with your values, helping you move toward a life filled with meaning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces for all identities, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and empowered to live authentically. Beyond the therapy room, I'm actively involved in the Austin wellness community. I'm a strong advocate for harm reduction approaches to addiction and eating disorders and believe in meeting people exactly where they are without judgment. Connection and community matter deeply to me—I've organized retreats and events that bring people together for healing, growth, and celebration. When I'm not in session, you'll find me outside (Town Lake and Deep Eddy Pool are my favorites), dancing at live music venues, or appreciating Texas wildflowers. I believe in the power of presence, self-compassion, and valued action!
